Cyborgs are augmented beings fitted with technological enhancements: Cybernetic implants, bio-ware, nano-machines, alien parasites, etc.
Augmented Animal[]
Hit Dice: 1d6 per point of CON
Mutations: 1d6+2 beneficial, any category
Much like a mutant animal, but have been uplifted and augmented though technology. They have human-level intelligence and the ability to communicate (usually though a collar-mounted voice box), but are physically a normal animal with a free natural weapon. On top of that, they have been fitted with 3-8 mutation-like "enhancements." The possess also locks in their genes, so they are immune to mutation due to radiation exposure. If the character has access to a specialist that can make enhancements, then the character can get a new augmentation per new level, with 5,000 gp upfront. The surgery takes one day to preform, and 3d6 days to recover. Due to their their strange android-like appearance, they have a +3 reaction adjustment and +3 retainer adjustment to all other racial groups.
Augmented Human[]
Hit Dice: 1d6 per point of CON
Mutations: 1d4+4 beneficial, any category
This is a pure human fitted with technological enhancements: Cybernetic implants, bio-ware, nano-machines, etc. In place of the normal +3 boost to INT, CON & CHA, Augmented Humans get 3 points to distribute among any ability, and they get "enhancements" in the form of normal beneficial mutations of any category, much like androids. Just like Pure Humans, they are immune to mutation due to radiation exposure.
