The hopper is an advanced monopod racing vehicle popular before the Great Collapse. It consists of a gyroscopically stabilized egg-shaped cockpit perched atop an atomic motor, balanced on a single thick, broad-footed mechanical leg. It travels in powerful 30-foot leaps and is able to twist and zigzag like giant mechanical jackrabbit. Adventurers can make a quick getaway in a hopper, but not necessarily a comfortable one. The GM may require characters attempting to pilot a hopper to make periodic DEX ability checks to remain in control. He might also require characters to make a successful save vs. Stun Attacks roll to avoid getting motion sickness.
