Magnus, Robot Fighter is a comic book series first published in the 1960s by Golden Key Comics as Magnus Robot Fighter 4000 A.D., then by Valiant Comics and Acclaim Comics in the 1990s, and than again by Dark Horse Comics in the 2010s. In every incarnation, Magnus is a human who battles rogue robots in the year 4000, though some aspects of the concept have varied with each publisher. The comic is notable for its retro sci-fi style and a protagonist who punches though steel-boded robots like they were made of balsa wood.
Taking place in the year 4000 A.D., in a content-spanning megalopolis of North Am, robots have completely taken over all forms of work and labor freeing up humanity to procure a life of comfort and luxury. Then Pol-Rob [Police Robot] H8, after suffering from radiation damage, impose totalitarian rule on a helpless humanity.
Within an undersea base, the robot A1 raised a child, named Magnus, from infancy to be a highly effective robot-fighter. Magnus was trained to be a highly skilled martial artist with the power to brake steel with bare fists. A1 also gave him an implant that allows him to hear robot-to-robot radio traffic. He came to the surface to fight the robot overlords, but not being raised by humans, North Am is an alien place to him. He meets his love-interest, Leeja.
In the mega-city of North AM, the upper level is home to the social elites known as "Softs", and the lower levels are home to the "Gophs." Europe is its own mega-city, Himalhina makes up most of India and China, and Antarcto is found in Antarctica.

Magus is tall, muscular man with dark hair. He was raised in a hidden undersea base by the robot A1. A1 gave Magus advanced martial arts training and cybernetic enhancements to make him an extremely powerful robot fighter. While A1 gave him human compassion, Magus had no other human contact until adulthood and is generally naive within the human world. He can "hear" the radio communications between robots.
In combat, he is a powerhouse! He can make two attacks per turn. While he can use melee weapons, he prefers to fight with his fists, witch are treated as natural weapons. An unarmed strike has +8 to-hit, and can do 5d6+10 points of damage! With melee weapons, he can can add 4d6+10 to weapon damage. He will only attack robots and structure that harms humans, and would avoid harming other humans as part of his training.
